The stained glass windows of a church are not simply decorative elements: they are tales of light and color that speak to the community, create atmosphere and connect the sacred space to the transcendent. With this spirit, VEUR had the honor of contributing to the redevelopment of the windows of the Church of the Madonna dello Sterpeto in Barletta, a project that combines tradition and innovation.
The challenge: enhancing spirituality through glass
When we were entrusted with the task of rethinking the stained glass windows of the church, we immediately understood the importance of creating a work that respected the historical and artistic identity of the place, but at the same time exploited the potential of modern technology. Our goal was to transform the windows into authentic protagonists, capable of amplifying the spirituality of the environment.
The solution: technology and art meet
We chose to use extra-clear 5+5 tempered glass, known for its resistance and purity, combining it with our innovative ceramic color digital printing technology. Thanks to our jet printer, with a resolution exceeding 2000 dpi, we were able to create extraordinarily sharp and detailed images. Digital printing has allowed us to transfer vivid and long-lasting colors directly onto glass, guaranteeing extremely high quality results that resist time and atmospheric agents.
The result: a masterpiece of light and meaning
The new windows of the Church of the Madonna dello Sterpeto are today a concrete example of how printing on glass can become an art form. The light that filters through the decorated surfaces creates suggestive chromatic effects, enveloping the interior of the church in a mystical and welcoming atmosphere. The printed images, characterized by unprecedented precision, tell stories of faith and beauty, making the stained glass windows an iconic and significant element for the community.
